The simulation activity 'Alcohol Chain in Belfast & Lisburn'
INTRODUCTION TO THE WORKSHOP
At the Second Sitting of the Junior Drugs & Alcohol Youth Forum you will be participating in an interactive workshop - 'Alcohol Chain in your City'.
It is a role-play comprising those interest groups involved in the real-life campaign from Belfast ('Get Home Safe') looking at the development and implementation of sustainable long term solutions to alcohol-related violence and crime in your City Centre. 'Alcohol Chain' workshop will add a preventive (alcohol education) element to the existing safety aspect of the campaign.
There will be 6 roles in total from taxi drivers through alcohol consumers to the victims of alcohol-related violence. Each student will represent one role.
Although it is a simulation exercise the findings of the workshop will be passed on to the leaders of the 'Get Home Safe' campaign (and to other local campaigns). It is likely that some of your ideas will be further developed and implemented in the real-life 'Get Home Safe' campaign in Belfast or your local campaign in Lisburn.
