Taxi Drivers: They are not legally obliged to ensure the safety of people attending the pubs in the evening but they could work in partnership with PSNI and other relevant organisations to improve/utilise their services and their image. They could provide taxi services in the evening and early morning time and contribute so to the safety of the City. Other private or community initiatives would be also welcome. The question is what incentives could one come up with to encourage the private sector to provide effective evening and morning transport services.
