PSNI (their prime objective is to ensure the safety of people in Belfast & Lisburn). They are legally and morally obliged to provide safety of all people socialising in the City Centre. They develop and implement in partnership with other statutory and voluntary organisation measures which would reduce the alcohol-related violence. They also educate and lobby relevant agencies around positive alcohol attitude. Extra resources at the designated hotspots and early intervention are perceived as a good working practice. They probably feel that they need more support from the other partners as most of the work is still done to them. They may feel that some groups are working against them especially advertising, retailers and drinks industry.
