GENERAL OUTLINE OF THE PROJECT

The Junior MUNGA is an active citizenship project for Key Stage 3 pupils, where they are given an introduction to the workings of the United Nations.

In teams of four (inter-school & cross-community teams) the pupils represent member countries of the United Nations and put into practice the skills of communication, application of numbers and ICT, also working with others and problem solving.

This Project is a fun way for young people to address, at first hand, the difficulties facing many people in the Developing World and the interdependence of developed and developing nations. The pupils take part in Training Sessions, as well as GrVotingoup Discussions, Role Play and Plenary Meetings.
